Master's (MA) and Doctoral (PhD) Programs

Starting and Ending Dates: The specific starting and ending dates for Master's and Doctoral programs will be determined through consultation between the professor and the applicant, taking into consideration program requirements, research timelines, and mutual agreement on academic schedules.

Spring Semester 2025

Classes Begin: January 6 Add/Drop Period Ends: January 13 Midterm Exams: February 17 - February 21 Spring Break: March 23 - March 27 Classes Resume: March 30 Final Exams: May 4 - May 8 Commencement: May 16

Online Registration Process:

  • Logging into Student Portal: Students log into the Focus Iraqi College student portal using their credentials (username and password).
  • Course Selection: Using the online registration system, students select their desired courses from available offerings for the upcoming semester.
  • Confirmation: Upon completing course selection, students receive a confirmation of their registration status and a preliminary schedule.

Add/Drop Period:

  • Adjustment Window: At the beginning of each semester, students have a designated add/drop period to make adjustments to their course schedule.
  • Course Changes: During this period, students may add or drop courses without academic or financial penalties, provided they adhere to the deadlines and availability.

Late Registration and Waitlisting:

  • Late Registration: Students who miss the initial registration period may have an opportunity to register late, subject to course availability and late registration policies.
  • Waitlisting: If a course reaches maximum enrollment, students can add themselves to a waitlist. If spots become available, students on the waitlist are notified for registration.
